Wasrmer Weather ?

(Warmer Weather ?)

So, this is Spring ? For those who had a brutal winter, your deliverance is at hand. There are those this season will experience more warmth, however and those that are still with Winter's chill. Who is being favorably reviewed and who is not ? Who is looking forward and who still wrestles with the past ? So, one is enjoying glorious summer and one is still in the winter of dis-content.

President Trump seems fearless. He is promoting his tariffs is watching the sell-off on Wall Street. He is dispatching criminal migrants to hell on earth and is facing wannabe Judges who are complaining. Trump and Elon Musk are making their cuts to government spending, itself a big thorn. Consequences be damned.

There are consequences to be had, however. Along with the President, the current GOP House Majority is also enjoying favorable ratings. But the Republican Conference has an expiration date. The Trump tax cuts need to become Law, meaning the House and Senate need to come together and combine both Bills. There can be no discussion that one side would not pass the other. If the speed of Passage cannot exceed the pace of spilt molasses. or not by July 4th, any action would have come too late to make effective contribution to the American economy. President Trump wants economic growth. He is talking about growth. Congress should follow suit. Or they could end up like Democrats.

General Bernard Law Montgomery was the most overrated British commander, but he was able to halt the Afrika Korps under German General Erwin Rommel at El Almain. The Second World War in North Africa was a see-saw between British and Axis (German and Italian) forces. Several British Generals in command before Montgomery had to be cashiered as British fortunes waned in the desert. General Wavell was sent to the Far East leaving General Sir Claude Auchinleck. An elderly gentleman at the time, Prime Minister regretted his removal, re-marking that the General was like a "Great Stag,"

One can say that the Democrat Party now is like when Rommel chased them all the way back to the Egyptian border, though one would not confuse the regality of an Auchinleck to a politician like Senator Schumer. But Schumer is also a defeated quantity. His Party is a defeated quantity. Ultimately, British forces in Africa were re-organized into the British Eighth Army and that was the command Montgomery assumed to beat Rommel.

In other words, the Democrat Party needs a re-organization like the formation of an Eighth Army. Whether that can happen, before Republicans can pass the Presidents' agenda, or pass on it as the case might be, remains to be seen.
