April 4th, 1968. is known for two events. The assassination of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr in Memphis and the test launch of Apollo 6, the second un-crewed test flight of the Saturn V launch vehicle. Unlike the first Saturn test, Apollo 4 flown the previous November, was an almost flawless mission. Apollo 6, om the other hand, experience "pogo oscillation." On the rocket's ascent, as fuel was being fed into the combustion chambers to the massive engines, certain instabilities arose reducing thrust. There had been moments in right after lift-off when the oscillation threatened to break apart the rocket but when the third stage ignited, the vehicle achieved orbit and Apollo 6 was considered a success in the end, The data from the two un-manned missions allowed for Apollo 8 to circumnavigate the Moon itself that December.

Pogo oscillations, in a sense, are what is being experienced now. It has been revealed that President Biden was more infirm than was originally believed and how President Obama, who was not enthusiastic about a Biden Presidency much less one for Kamala Harris. It is Day Three of the Trump Liberation initiatives and global Markets remain substantially retreated. Adding to the contagion is the announcement from the Peoples' Republic that they will answer Trump's tariffs with levies of their own.

President Barack Obama can be seen as a transformative, like President. However, Obama could have been an American President who was black or he could have been a black American President. Obama governed as the latter and that is how he selected then Delaware Senator Joe Biden to be his Vice President. What became clear over the eight years of the Obama Administration was that Biden's detioration was increasingly evident.

Donald Trump was then elected in 2016. In 2020, President Trump was defeated by Joe Biden in spite of the latter's condition. Biden had campaigned from his basement and thanks to rule changes by various states, Biden prevailed. But was he ever in charge ? In a new book juts released, when it became clear that Biden was a spent force after that debate with Donald Trump, knives were un-sheathed and plunged into the back of the hapless President. The rest is history.

That history included the re-election of Donald Trump. As promised and in his endless efforts to Make America Great Again, the President has imposed tariffs, 10 to 25% as well as reciprocal. In its turn, China has retaliated with a 34% levy on its own. This is being called a trade war and when mutual retaliation is expanding like the HALF MOON predictions from almost fifty years ago.

It will be what happens with Beijing that will tell the tariff story. The Chinese are in a dichotomous situation. Expansion abroad and but internal decline. The history of the Middle Kingdom has been the history of its agriculture and its ability to feed its population. President Trump has tariffed the Peoples' Republic and Beijing has responded. How will China assume its new obligation to the United States and not deal with a recession of its own ?

The flight Apollo 6 laid the groundwork for the rest of the Apollo program. Seven lunar flights and six landings (Apollo 13 was made into a movie). The pogo oscillation on "6" had been corrected for the rest of the Saturn launches. A pogo oscillation occurred during the Biden Presidency and is the case of China responding to its tariff. In the end, everything was fixed. One way, or another.
